The Thai massage courses demonstration is an opportunity to experience about the benefits of this practise also known as Thai Yoga Therapy , as well as knowing about the quality and style of the training. This next Friday 25th November at 7,30pm you are welcome for a free short demo and introduction about our Thai massage courses. We hope to see you!
During a Traditional Thai massage treatment, the recipient is lying on a mattress on the floor and wearing loose and comfortable clothes. The therapist doesn´t use any oils or lotions. Rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched, moved and rocked following designated lines (“sen lines” that are similar to Chinese Medicine meridians) through the body. The receiver will be placed in a variety of yoga-like positions during the course of the massage, also receiving rhythmic and deep pressures.
A full Thai massage session may last two hours and despite there is a standard procedure and rhythm to the massage, the therapist should adapt all the sequence to fit the receiver condition. The Thai massage therapist should be able to use his own weigth, balance and gravity power to achieve a state of relaxation and meditation that gets the unique spirit of this ancient healing art.
